Celebrating the Soil Association's New Beauty and Wellness Ambassadors

During the Organic Beauty & Wellbeing Week event at Blomma Beauty, the Soil Association Certification proudly announced eight new ambassadors who will champion the benefits of natural and organic cosmetics.
This diverse group includes nutritionists, journalists, make-up artists, brand founders, and influencers, all chosen from public nominations. Each ambassador was carefully selected for their ongoing commitment to certified natural and organic products.
Paige Tracey, Partnerships Manager for Beauty and Wellness at the Soil Association Certification, expressed her excitement about unveiling the ambassadors:
“I am really excited to finally announce who our chosen ambassadors are. The cosmetics industry does not have the same protections for the term ‘organic’ as food and drink, and products can use this label – as well as the label ‘natural’ – with minimal organic or natural ingredients. Many products labelled in this way also still contain controversial synthetic ingredients that consumers strive to avoid, such as parabens, phthalates, and microplastics.”
Tracey highlighted the importance of certifications like the Soil Association COSMOS Organic or COSMOS Natural logos, which guarantee the quality and integrity of the ingredients. She emphasized that these certifications help consumers avoid greenwashing and harmful toxins:
“That is why it is so important that consumers know to look for the Soil Association COSMOS Organic or Natural logo to guarantee the provenance of the ingredients, as well as avoiding greenwashing and potential toxins. I am so glad this group of influential figures from beauty and wellness can now raise awareness of our standards and push for a more sustainable industry.”
Among the newly announced ambassadors is Sian Louise Colson, founder of Obvs Skincare and a passionate advocate for organic skincare. As a vocal spokesperson for organic beauty, Colson believes that certification goes beyond just a label – it’s about making a commitment to both consumers and the planet.
“Certification is more than just a label – it’s a commitment to doing what is right for both consumers and the planet,” she says.
As these ambassadors begin their work to raise awareness of the importance of certified organic beauty products, the industry moves closer to a more transparent and sustainable future. This announcement marks a significant step in the fight against misleading claims and greenwashing, ensuring consumers have the knowledge and trust they need to make informed decisions about the products they use on their skin.
