Obvs Skincare is a finalist for Best of Organic Skincare & Make Up AND Best of Organic Sustainable Packaging at UK’s only organic awards
A Hampshire based Skincare brand is a finalist for Best of Organic Skincare & Make Up and Best of Organic Sustainable Packaging for their Intensive Skin Recovery Cream at the BOOM (Best of Organic Market) Awards 2023 – the UK’s only organic awards.
Obvs Skincare is up against the best that the organic market has to offer and faced a rigorous judging process by a professional panel of industry judges.
The awards, run by leading organic certifier Soil Association Certification in partnership with headline sponsors Huboo, celebrate those who are working hard to produce the best possible organic products, recognising innovation and shining a spotlight on brands who are delivering excellence.
The finalists are being announced at a time when the organic market has shown remarkable resilience, with the organic market growing 1.6% in 2022, taking its value to £3.1 billion – its highest level yet. This marks 11 consecutive years of growth and over 25.4% growth since 2019. The BOOM awards celebrate finalists who are working at a difficult time for businesses, and we recognise the extra level of care and attention organic producers have to take to produce high-quality food that meets rigorous organic standards.
Sian Louise (founder of Obvs Skincare) said: “We're thrilled and humbled to be a finalist in the Best of Organic Skincare & Make Up and Best of Organic Sustainable Packaging categories at the BOOM Awards 2023! “We’re proud to work in ways that support nature and the environment and we know in the past 12 months or so, this has become more and more important to our customers.”
Soil Association Certification Commercial and Marketing Director Alex Cullen said: “We are delighted to see Obvs Skincare named a finalist.
“The Best of Organic Skincare & Make Up and Best of Organic Sustainable Packaging celebrates the best products and the greatest new hopes for the future.
“Farming is the major global driver of emissions and habitat destruction – even larger than aviation.
“Organic production offers vital solutions for climate and nature, which is why we’re so excited to see producers like Obvs Skincare getting excellent results.
“It’s this drive to innovate that means the organic sector remains resilient despite market challenges.”
The celebration of the organic industry is set to continue throughout the year, as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of organic certification. September will see the annual month-long ‘Organic September’ campaign, with retailers, producers and brands coming together to unite behind the message that organic is climate action.
